Knowle Country House is a beautiful Victorian country house wedding venue in Rochester, set within landscaped gardens, lawns and orchards. It has that classic Kent countryside feel while still being easy for guests to reach, with the venue noting it is under an hour from Central London and around a 10 minute walk from the station.
As a Kent wedding videographer, I love venues like Knowle Country House because they give you so much variety in one place. You have the character of the house, the gardens, the outdoor ceremony options, the reception spaces and plenty of natural backdrops for relaxed couple portraits without needing to disappear for ages.

The flow of the day works really well for video, from morning preparations through to the ceremony, drinks reception, speeches, golden hour portraits and the evening party.

The venue is licensed for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, with capacity listed around 98 to 100 guests for the day depending on the source, plus additional evening guests. That makes it a brilliant size for a wedding film because it still feels personal, but there is enough atmosphere for great reactions, speeches and party footage.
Best filming spots at Knowle Country House
The gardens are the big one. They give you soft, natural backgrounds for couple portraits, confetti, drinks reception shots and little candid moments of guests chatting.
The front of the house is great for establishing shots, arrivals and those classic venue details that help set the scene at the start of the film.
